Dear Family Text

We’re about to begin an exciting six-session unit called “Imagine . . . Following God’s Directions.” During our time together we’ll be dwelling in God's Story as we learn how God cared for Moses and the Israelites, Naomi, and Ruth. We’ll also learn how God continues that care in our own lives and how we can extend God’s love and care to others.

Each week your child will bring home a Show and Share paper. It includes a version of the day’s story, and we’ve encouraged your child to show and share that story with someone else. By retelling the story your child is more likely to remember it, and considering God's Story together is a wonderful way to share your faith.

Our Memory Challenge for this unit is Psalm 62:1-2. One of the ways we’ll be learning it is by singing the song “Never Be Shaken.” It is available on the Leader Support page of DwellCurriculum.org where you can order the DwellSongs Year 1 CD or download individual songs if you’d like to sing it with your child.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!
