We’re beginning a new series—all about Jesus’ loving care. Your child will start off with the story of Jesus blessing the children. Through it, the children understand Jesus’ love for them and come to know that Jesus includes them in his church and kingdom. Other stories will reinforce Jesus’ loving care for others—the Good Samaritan, Zacchaeus, Mary and Martha, the healing of ten men who had leprosy, and a thankful woman who poured out an expensive bottle of perfume on Jesus to show her love.
You’ll notice that each Show and Share paper contains a section called “Dear Family.” It includes a summary of the session, often with suggested things you and your child can do together at home to continue exploring the story.
Seize every opportunity throughout the next few weeks to point out daily examples of Jesus’ love and care for you and your family. Doing so will help your child develop the habit of seeing God’s love and care in everyday life. That’s faith development in action!
If you have questions, feel free to call or email. Not only does Jesus dearly love your little one, we do also! May God bless you and your family.
