Dear Family Text
Just a note to let you know that our Dwell group continues to be an exciting place for your child and his or her friends to learn about God’s Big Story, focusing on how powerful and loving our great God is. Right now we’re learning about God’s great plan to guide Moses to bring God’s people out of Egypt to the promised land. And—there’s more great news!—we’re learning that God also has plans to care for and protect us!
You’ll notice that each Show and Share paper contains a section called Dear Family. It explains the content and focus of each week’s session. Often there will be suggestions for activities that you can do with your child at home to share your own wonder, faith, and awe at how God works in your life and the life of your family.
You’ll also always find the week’s story so you can read it together and the location of the Memory Challenge. Learning a verse from Scripture with your child is a great way to show that learning God’s Word is important, meaningful, and rewarding! You might even write the verse on a card or two and place the cards where family members will see them often—on a mirror by the toothbrushes, by the back door, or in the car! For the next six weeks our Memory Challenge will be Deuteronomy 10:12-13. We’ll be learning the verse by singing it!
