It seems impossible, but we’re already on the last unit for this season of Dwell. It has been a great year! We’ve learned so much about our great God and what it means for us to serve God and others. It’s exciting for all of us to know that we’re all part of God’s family and that God uses us too.
During the next six sessions we’ll focus on God’s growing kingdom. We’ll do that by hearing God’s great stories about people he used to build the kingdom. Specifically, we’ll study the stories of Samson, Ruth, Hannah, Samuel, Saul, and David—all of them powerful and exciting.
While the activities we do together are important, you are the primary source of faith nurture in the life of your child. That’s exciting, and a little scary! Use the excellent resources we’ve provided— the weekly Show and Share papers and the God’s Big Story cards—to explore the stories we’ve been learning and to jump-start faith nurturing conversations with each other at home.
The Memory Challenge for this unit comes from Psalm 46:1-2. We’ve been singing the words as well as saying them. Ask your child to teach you the song! You can purchase both the Memory Challenge song, “Refuge and Strength,” and our other unit song, “Now I Know,” on the leader support page of DwellCurriculum.org.
It’s been a privilege for me to join and support you in nurturing your child’s faith.
