Dear Family Text

For the next six weeks our theme is Imagine . . . Seeing Jesus’ Power. We’ll be doing that together as we dive into the stories of Palm Sunday, Jesus’ death and resurrection, and three stories of healing that show Jesus’ power and love for his people. A big part of our time together each week will be spent in praise to Jesus, our King. One of the ways we’ll be offering praise is with our unit song, “I’m Gonna Walk.” Search for the song online, and you should be able to find some fun video versions to watch (and dance to!) with your child.

We’ll also be learning a short verse from Mark 5:36b. When your child is feeling scared or anxious, this is a wonderful verse to be able to call upon as a reminder that he or she can trust in Jesus’ power. The song that will help us remember the words is called “Don’t Be Afraid,” and you can listen to part of it or purchase a downloadable version on the leader support page of DwellCurriculum.org.

Remember to read through your child’s Show and Share paper each week. There you’ll find a version of the story, follow-up activities, and a note to let you know what your child learned—all are important ways to continue the learning at home!
