Do you ever wonder what’s going on inside the classroom when you leave your kids at the classroom door? You can be sure there is a lot of activity! Songs, games, discussions, drama, prayer, and much, much more.
Each week we focus on a small story within God’s Big Story. We enter the story, pause to live into the story, and consider how we can live out of the story as we leave to go into our homes and communities.
For the next six sessions, we’ll be learning about the beginning of Jesus’ ministry . . . his temptation in the wilderness, calling the disciples, and performing miracles of healing. For each story, your child will bring home a Show and Share paper to “show and share” with you. On that paper you’ll find a story symbol to help your child recall the story—look for the same symbol inside your set of God’s Big Story cards.
In addition to all of this, we’re learning Scripture through music. It’s a great way for your child (and the rest of the family!) to remember God’s Word. For the next six weeks we’ll be memorizing John 3:16-17 using a song called “For God So Loved.” We’ll also be learning a song from Swaziland called “Sizohamba naye/ We Will Walk with God.” Both songs can be found on the DwellSongs Year 1 CD. If you’d like to play the songs at home, you may purchase a copy of the CD or download the songs on the Leader Support page of DwellCurriculum.org.
