Dear Family Text

During the next six weeks, we’re going to continue to follow in Paul’s footsteps—into dangerous and scary places, through riots and storms—as he brings the good news to many people and places.

These are wonderful stories to share as a family, full of drama and suspense. Take time to be amazed together at the power of the Spirit in spreading the good news so rapidly through the work of people like Paul. A set of God’s Big Story cards (available for purchase from FaithAliveResources.org) will help you do that together.

Here is a glance at the upcoming sessions, with suggested questions to ask your child each week:
Riot in Ephesus
Can you imagine a riot over the gospel in your city?

Paul’s Farewell
Imagine what would happen in your church if someone fell, died, and then was raised to life again.

The Brave Nephew
With which character does each member of your family most identify? Why?

Paul on Trial
Why do you suppose Luke tells us so much about the trial and all the people before whom Paul appeared?

Shipwreck and Malta
Talk about dangerous storms one or more members of your family have been in. How might knowing that God is near protect you and make you feel less afraid during times like that?

Rome
What do you think might have happened to Paul after what we read in the last verses of Acts?
